Garda Battle Regulations

  1. Name of the competition, organizers, and officials

    1.1 Full name of the competition:
    «Garda Battle»

    1.4 This competition aims to promote karting as a sport.

  2. Date and venue

    2.1 Competitions are held at the Lonato Karting Club

    2.2 Competitions are held weekly on Thursdays, with the exception of Thursdays falling on a holiday.

    2.3 Competitions are held on the Club karts.

  3. Competition schedule

    08:30 p.m. — 09:30 p.m. — Registration, weigh-in

    09:35 p.m. — Briefing

    10:00 p.m. — Start

    5-minutes awarding after the race finish.

  4. Name of the competition, organizers, and officials

    4.1 Minimum number of participants — 7 drivers.
    Duration and type of race depend on the number of participants:
    - 30 min. of the individual race with 10 participants
    - 60 min. of team race with 20 participants, two-person teams
    - 90 min. of team race with 30 participants, three-person teams
    - 120 min. of team race with 40 participants, four-person teams

    4.2 The minimum racer’s session in a team race is 25 min., the maximum session lasts 35 min.

    4.3 During an individual race, each driver must change his or her kart once within 10 to 20 min. interval of race

    4.4 In the team race, one driver’s kart change takes place within 25 to 35 min. interval.

    4.4 In the team race, the teams’ composition is determined at the briefing by drawing lots.

    4.5 Race starts from the pit lane according to the weight handicap; a team with the highest weight starts the first and then the other teams follow in descending order.

    4.6 Each driver’s weight is added up to 80 kg, maximum weight-up is 20 kg. *subject to availability to weigh the drivers up

    4.7 Any change of kart and/or driver is effected with the pressing of a button before entering the pit lane, which counts down 30 seconds of change.

  5. Fines and penalties

    5.1 During the race, a team may be imposed with fines for violation; the fines are charged as additional seconds at the finish.

    5.2 In case of violation, the referee is obliged to notify the team with a black flag with a team number indicated. Should the referee fail to show the flag, the violation will be considered invalid and penalty seconds shall not be charged.

    5.3 For all kinds of violations in the race, drivers are charged 10 penalty seconds.

    5.4 In case of several violations, penalty seconds are summed up.

    5.5 During the race and after the finish, the team representatives may approach the referee and ask for clarification on the grounds for penalty imposition, but any conversations with the referee are prohibited. For violation of this Clause, a team may be charged more than 10 seconds and imposed with a penalty up to the disqualification.

  6. Breakdowns, force majeure

    6.1 In case of a kart breakdown or any other force majeure situation, the referee has the right to add the time lost by the team. If after adding the lost time, there is a disputable situation after the finish in the fight for the prize within 3 seconds limit, the team, which time has been added, will be behind in any case.

  7. Awarding

    7.1 Awarding is held within 5 minutes after the race finish.

    7.2 Winners and prizewinners receive memorable cups and applause of other participants and competition spectators.

These regulations shall mean an official invitation to participate in the competition. A driver, who has come to participate in the competition and paid an entry fee, automatically agrees with all the regulations provisions and is obliged to fulfill them.
